Grant Information

The Foundation’s Board will consider applications from organizations exempt under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3) and other qualifying organizations primarily located in Wichita County, Texas. The Foundation supports general operating expenses, special projects and capital campaigns.

  • Process

    Organizations that have not received a previous grant from the Foundation must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) before being asked to submit an application. Previous grant recipients will submit only an application. An organization may only apply for one grant per calendar year.

    All information must be submitted via the online Grant Portal. For the access code for each grant cycle, email grants@jamesnmccoyfoundation.org.

  • Grant Cycles

    There are two grant cycles per year with the following deadlines:

    LOIs*: Feb 15 and Aug 15

    Application Windows: Jan 1 - Mar 15 and Jun 1 - Sept 15

    Funding Decisions: May and Nov

    *Only organizations new to the Foundation submit LOIs.

  • General

    The Foundation may ask to visit with your organization via phone or in person to learn more about your programs. Each grant recipient may be required to complete a brief follow-up report a few months after receiving the grant funding.
